DEREK MARSHALL
Chairman
Derek worked as an operational firefighter for 17 years followed by six years as financial administrator for a charity in Dundee.
He is currently CEO of the Fun Factory which have won a number of awards for social impact and business over recent years.
Derek has worked in the social enterprise sector for 25 years during which he has been involved in establishing a number of charities and social companies and raising over £4m for these enterprises.
FERGUS STORRIER
Chief Executive Officer & Board Member
Fergus comes to Dundee Social Enterprise Network with a strong background in leading a large, well-established social enterprise in Dundee. He is the Founder and Chair of Showcase the Street, which he established over 20 years ago, and brings a well-recognised track record in securing funding alongside many years of experience in strategic leadership and partnership working at both local and national levels.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Fergus worked closely with DSEN members to help secure over £500,000 in vital funding, supporting the social enterprise sector through a period of significant challenge and uncertainty. His enthusiasm and commitment to driving positive social change will help take DSEN and its members to a stronger and more sustainable place.
ALISON CLINK
Board Member
Alison is Project Director and founder of the Dundee and Angus ADHD Support Group.
After her son was given a diagnosis of ADHD, she realised that there was no support service available for parents or carers. The Dundee and Angus ADHD Support Group is now into its tenth year.
Alison would like to share her knowledge and experience with other aspiring social enterprises as the support she received as a member of DSEN has allowed the ADHD Group to grow with the knowledge from them.
CHERYL JENKINS
Administration Support
Cheryl brings over 20 years of experience in operations and training, with more than a decade spent managing operations within the hospitality sector in Scotland and internationally, alongside delivering Modern Apprenticeships, IVing and Assessing. She moved into the Dundee third sector nearly 10 years ago and, for the past 4.5 years, has been Operations Manager at Showcase the Street, where she focuses on delivering inclusive, community-led projects and sharing her passion for technology, arts and sport.
With a degree in marketing and a strong background in operations management, Cheryl provides administration support to Dundee Social Enterprise Network, helping welcome new members and promote initiatives making a positive impact in Dundee.
